The Incarnation Pastoral Care Ministers have been busy improving and expanding our ministry. We’ve had a good response to our request for volunteers, and all the Pastoral Care Ministers have received Outreach training.
Our Respite Team, which assists caregivers by providing them with much-needed breaks, still needs more volunteers. There is also still a need for healthcare professionals (nurses, CNAs) to provide respite for those caring for the very ill.
We continue to bring Eucharist to area nursing homes and to homebound parishioners. We now have ministers taking Eucharist from Sunday Mass to folks unable to attend Mass.
The “Laying on of Hands” services with which we assisted this past Summer were very well received. We will continue these services.
We’re now involved in a tri-parish Pastoral Care effort, with St. Thomas Aquinas and Holy Comforter, to ensure that the three parishes make the best possible use of available resources to make visits and bring Eucharist to all in the three parishes who are in need.
There are still plenty of opportunities for anyone willing to give of their time. If you’re interested, please call parishioner Peggy Rush at 985-7169. Thank you for your continued prayers in support of this effort.
