Volunteers are needed for Children’s Liturgy of the Word!

    By Sarah Phillips

This ministry will resume on Sunday, September 10th at the 9:00AM Mass. If you’re not familiar with Children’s Liturgy, children ages 5-10 are invited to hear the Liturgy of the Word using words they understand and to share their own understanding of God’s Word. During Mass, at the start of Liturgy of the Word, they will be invited by the presider to leave the sanctuary with adult volunteers to hear a special Children’s Liturgy of the Word in the Daily Mass Chapel, where they will receive an engaging, age-appropriate experience of liturgy that parallels what is happening in the assembly. They will return to the sanctuary during the offertory to participate in the Liturgy of the Eucharist with their family.

Parents are welcome to accompany their children to check out this offering and no registration is required to attend. If you’re interested in helping with this ministry as a proclaimer of the Word and/or to assist children in attendance, please contact Robyn Mauney or Missy Bishop.
