Every Thursday at Incarnation, Jesus is present for Adoration in the Blessed Sacrament monstrance on the altar, just waiting for you to come and be with Him, talk with Him, listen to Him and to adore Him. He is present from 1:00PM until 5:30PM and then after the 5:30 Mass until 8:00PM. Jesus is happy to have you spend any amount of time you wish with Him.

However, we are in need of more people to sign up and commit to at least one hour, especially between the hours of 2-3PM, 3-4PM, and 4-5PM so there are at least two people in His presence at all times.

The safety and security of our parishioners and staff is a top concern of Incarnation Catholic Church leadership, so we have partnered with Trident Shield to offer safety and security training to all interested parishioners. The training is an online, 2-hour course, titled Active Assailant Readiness for the Workplace, which offers a comprehensive look at preventing and responding to an active assailant. It will provide every attendee with knowledge and skills to deploy in a crisis. That said, the likelihood of such an event is very rare.

You will not be an expert in safety once you finish the training, but you will be more prepared to prevent, avoid, respond to, and survive violent events. This entire training is accessible via any computer or smart device with internet access and can be completed in a single session or split up into multiple sessions. Ushers and Catechists are especially encouraged to participate. A donation of $30 to offset the cost of the training is appreciated, but not required.

WHAT IS VIRTUS TRAINING? 

The “Protecting God’s Children” program is a three to four hour awareness session that is designed to educate adults on how to recognize the warning signs of child sexual abuse and what to do when they suspect a child is being victimized. At Incarnation, this training program is required for any person 18 years + who wants to volunteer with children. 

WHY IS IT A GOOD CHOICE FOR ME?

Upon completion of the program, you may volunteer in programs such as Religious Education, Vacation Bible School, Youth Ministry, mission trips, and all parish events involving children and youth.
