    Screening of The Letter

    By Sarah Phillips

Pope Francis’ Second Encyclical, Laudato Si’, Care for Our Common Home, encourages us to see how “everything is connected.”

The way we treat the Earth is a reflection of how we treat each other.

Church of the Incarnation will be holding a community screening of “The Letter”, a film by Laudato Si’ Movement, featuring Pope Francis and five leaders representing the voices of indigenous people, the youth and scientists on the frontline of the climate crisis coming together to discuss the need for action to save our precious common home.

The screening will be on Thursday, September 12th from 6:30-8:30PM in the Conference Room.

The evening will begin with prayer and end with reflection and discussion on what action we are called to take.

For more information contact Janie Pudhorodsky at 434-825-5649.

    Evening of Prayer and Reflection

    By Sarah Phillips

Phoebe’s Circle is a community of believers gathering in prayer and conversation to explore and support the roles of women in the Church.

We warmly invite you to An Evening of Prayer and Reflection on Tuesday, September 10th.

Sister Cecilia Dwyer, OSB will open us to “Extravagant Hospitality in the Benedictine Tradition” and break open how this brings us into relationship with the Church and the marginalized in our society.

Bilingual Mass will begin at 5:30PM. The evening will continue at 6:30PM in the Parish Hall.

A light supper will be followed by Sister’s talk, some small group discussion, and end at 8:30PM.

To register/RSVP sign up after Mass or email emsnow@msn.com. We hope you can join us!

The Adult English Initiation Ministry (formerly known as RCIA) will hold an information session between Masses on Sunday, September 8 from 10:15AM to 11:15AM in the Library.

We will discuss the updated process with two separate paths for Baptized Christians seeking full Communion with the Church and adults who are not Baptized seeking the Sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation.

This session is for anyone interested in becoming Roman Catholic.
