Jean was born and raised in Massapequa Park, NY. As a teenager, Jean and her family moved south and landed in Nelson County (VA)! At the young age of 13, she started playing at St. Mary’s Catholic Church (Lovingston, VA). She was choir director at Holy Comforter Catholic Church for several years before moving over the mountain to Harrisonburg, VA. For over 15 years she was Minister of Liturgy & Music at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. She took a hiatus from the Catholic Church in 2016 and was choir director at Meadows Presbyterian Church in Charlottesville for 5 years before returning to the Catholic church in July 2021 and accepting the position here at the Church of the Incarnation. In her spare time, Jean likes to be involved with local community theater and has played for many musicals over the years. She resides in Charlottesville with her dog Bixby.
