Thank you to all who supported the musical, ‘I Will Live Until I Die’ — based on the life of Sister Thea Bowman and performed at the Martin Luther King Performing Arts Center recently on September 16 & 17th. Bringing the musical to Charlottesville was quite the undertaking and the positive response from those who attended the show was incredible!
But unfortunately, we have a shortfall of $4,600. Due to lack of media coverage (neither CBS or NBC opted to cover this musical), ticket sales were not where we expected them to be. Additionally, ValLimar received no compensation for doing this show! If you would like to help in offsetting this cost, please make your check payable to Church of the Incarnation and note ‘Sister Thea Musical’ in the memo line (or make your donation online as well).
