We have several ongoing and one-time faith formation and educational opportunities for adults.
TNT (Theatre & Theology): After seeing a really good flick, don’t you typically want to talk about it with family and friends? Well, now’s your chance to do just that. At least once a month, Father Gregory shows a movie after which he facilitates a lively discussion on the faith themes displayed therein. Even if you already saw the movie being featured, come see it again and be amazed at what you and others experience viewing the movie from a faith perspective. Movies are shown Friday evenings at 7:00 pm in the Parish Activities Center. No RSVP required. Bring popcorn or other treat to share if you like. Check our Sunday bulletin for details on our next film.
THURSDAY MORNING SCRIPTURE STUDY: Meets Thursday mornings at 10:00 am in the Library. The group reads and discusses the readings for the following Sunday. Join us any time or contact Ray Haas for more information at 978-4087.
THURSDAY EVENING SCRIPTURE STUDY: On April 14 we will be starting a new series on Paul. We meet every other Thursday from 7:00-9:00 pm in the Incarnation Library (April 14 and 28, May 5 and 19, June 2 and 10). Interested? Call Sharon Packett at 973-5659 and leave a message with your name and phone number. We would love to have anybody join us for any or all of our meetings!
“SUNDAY’S WORD” DISCUSSION GROUP: All are invited to Sunday’s Word to discuss the day’s Mass readings. The focus will be on the Sunday readings, reflecting on how they help teach us to live as Christians carrying out Christ’s mission to the world. Meetings are held between the two Sunday morning Masses, 10:20-11:20 am, in the Library. No preparation is expected.
CENTERING PRAYER: Based on the teaching of Fr. Thomas Keating, this group meets weekly to pray, to spend time in meditation, and to hold a short discussion. Meets Wednesdays at 10:00 am in the Daily Mass Chapel. Contact Herb Ely 434-295-6969.
CURSILLO – A CATHOLIC RETREAT: Cursillo is alive and well at Incarnation. Men’s and women’s spiritual retreats are held regularly, after which participants form small groups. For information visit valleycursillo.com.
JUSTICE & CHARITY FAITH FORMATION OPPORTUNITIES: see our Justice & Charity link, the Sunday bulletin, or contact our Justice & Charity Minister Sheila Herlihy at the parish office.
