IMPACT Annual Assembly October 26
IMPACT ANNUAL ASSEMBLY – OCTOBER 26th, 6:30-8pm
As one of the 28 congregations of IMPACT, our justice ministry will gather on Tuesday evening, October 26th from 6:30-8pm to decide what issue that community members are struggling with, to tackle in the upcoming year. Our new issue will be connected to “Care for Creation” as inspired and supported by Pope Francis’ recent encyclical, Laudato Si”- Care for our Common Home”. If you are concerned about environmental and climate issues, this is an opportunity to be involved in action locally!
This meeting, being held virtually and with some in-person groups, is one of the 4 organization-wide assemblies that Network members are asked to make every effort to attend. All are welcome. Network members will vote on our new issue. For more information, contact Janie Pudhorodsky or Jose’ Luis Hernandez whose contact information is below.

Oppose assisted suicide / Opongan al suicidio asistido
The Medical Society of Virginia has circulated a new members-only survey on assisted suicide. To participate in the survey, a physician, physician assistant or medical student must be a current member of the MSV. If you are a licensed healthcare provider in Virginia or a medical student, please complete this brief contact form and we will reply with instructions on how to access the survey.
If you are not a healthcare provider, please forward this message to any Virginia physician, physician assistant or medical student you know who opposes assisted suicide and urge them to fill out the same contact form as soon as possible. The deadline for the survey is September 30.
As debate on assisted suicide continues, the stance of the MSV will be critical. Please urge Virginia healthcare professionals who share our concerns to connect with us!
In prayer and in public, your voices are urgently needed to bring Gospel values to bear on vital decisions being made by those who represent you.
