Public Mass Registration

(español abajo)

Bishop Knestout’s dispensation from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass is still in effect for ALL Catholics.

Here is a snapshot of what to expect when you return to public Mass, including certain requirements. Here are a few highlights:

  1. Do not sign up or attend Mass if you or anyone in your household answers “yes” to any of the following questions:
    • Have you or anyone in your household had a fever in the past two (2) weeks?
    • Do you or anyone in your household have a new cough or new shortness of breath?
    • In the past two (2) weeks, have you been exposed–less than six (6) feet for greater than 15 minutes–to anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 without wearing the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as defined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention?
  2. Anyone younger than 10 or older than 65 is strongly encouraged to continue watching the Livestream from home.
  3. Face coverings are required for anyone age 10 or older.
  4. Maintain social distance (6 feet) at all times.
  5. Follow all instructions given by our ushers/greeters.

Letters & Cards for Our Lady of Peace

Our Lady of Peace Retirement Community–located next door to Incarnation–is experiencing an outbreak of Covid-19, and several staff and residents are now testing positive for the disease. This requires a lengthy period of isolation from loved ones, change in routines, and other stressors. Please pray for the residents, families, staff, and support persons at Our Lady of Peace! If you’re willing, you can write notes of encouragement for residents and staff. Drawings and cards from children are especially appreciated. Envelopes should be labeled STAFF or RESIDENT on the front. We have a labeled basket in the Incarnation narthex if you want to drop them off at church, or you can mail them to:

Sara Warden
Our Lady of Peace
751 Hillsdale Dr.
Charlottesville, VA 22901

Please contact Patrick with any questions or to get involved, and please spread the word to anybody you know who might be interested in joining the effort. Check out the short and fun video below that Youth Ministry created in order to get the message out and encourage people to become pen pals with local seniors. Thank you!

Incarnation Alive

During this time of quarantine, we are hoping to remain connected as a parish family. One of the ways to help us achieve that goal is through video interviews of clergy, staff, and other parishioners, allowing us to get to know one another better. Questions can be emailed in the week before the interview is filmed, and we plan to post new videos every Sunday. We hope you enjoy!
