High School Youth Group
Meetings are held in the Youth Room Sunday evenings throughout the school year from 6:00-7:30 pm.
High School Youth Group Schedule 2016-2017
Students in grades 9-12 hang out every week, have lots of fun, and learn about our Catholic faith. We try to mix up what we do every meeting to keep things different and fun, but we typically have large group talks, small group discussions, games and ice breakers, skits, video clips, different types of prayer, music, etc. Our goal is to create a fun, welcoming, inclusive environment that allows each person to grow, learn, and have a fabulous time. Our leadership team consists of adults and high school students who love their faith and enjoy sharing it with others. Come check out our meetings any time, invite your friends, and contact Patrick if you have any questions.
We encourage all students to attend the 4:30 pm Mass with their family prior to coming to youth group, but this is not a requirement, (especially if an earlier Mass works better for your family schedule). Dinner begins right after the 4:30 pm Mass ends, and our meeting officially starts at 6:00 pm. Dinner is also not required, but it’s a great way to get to know other people, and hey–free food! Parents are asked to sign up to help provide dinner one Sunday during the year (see our Sunday Evening Dinners page for details).
Role of Parents
Ideally all of our students are attending Mass every Sunday with their family and participating regularly in the Sacraments. Our leadership team is committed to walking with young people on their journeys of faith and helping them to learn about the Catholic Church and its teachings. If you as a parent (and primary teacher to your kids) are looking for resources or ideas to help incorporate our faith into your daily family life, please contact Patrick.
